Do I need a ticket just to walk through Dürnstein?
Yes. While the market is open, the whole town center counts as market grounds. You need a valid ticket from the Kremser Tor to the square in front of the Schlosshotel, and from the Danube up to the Hauptstraße.
Where should I park?
Use car park P1 at landing stages 21–22. It has been expanded with about 300 more spaces, and parking there is paid. A free little road train runs regularly from P1 to the market.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Dogs are welcome everywhere, including on the Advent ship, but keep them on a leash.
Is it manageable with limited mobility?
It's hard going. The route from the Danube up to the Hauptstraße is steep and on bumpy cobbles, which is very difficult for wheelchair users. The Advent ship is about 500 m from the car park and easy to reach, but only its entrance deck is accessible. The middle deck is reached only by stairs.
What happens at Stift Dürnstein?
