Tips & Advice
- Children under six must have an adult accompany them on the track, so decide who will stay alongside each younger runner.
- Wear running shoes, as the organizer recommends them for the track; participants can run, jog or walk.
- Help children keep track of their 400-meter laps, since they receive a sticker for each one completed.
- Choose a comfortable pace rather than treating it as a race; the organizer says the event is about participation, not being fastest.
- Allow for the approximately 60-minute experience, which includes the warm-up, 20-minute run, medal presentation and Santa photo opportunity.
