Frequently Asked Questions
Who are the Merrimack Valley Ringers?
They're an auditioned community handbell ensemble that started in 2002. Today the group has sixteen ringers from across eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, and its motto is Always Different, Always Fun!
What instruments will we hear?
Mostly handbells and handchimes. Because the roster is larger than most pieces need, some members also play flute, piano, organ, recorder, trumpet, guitar, bass guitar and percussion, and the ringers rotate bell duties.
Is it suitable for kids?
Yes. The group's concerts are engaging and energetic and are aimed at audiences of all ages.
Is there another chance to hear them this winter?
Yes. The winter tour stops across Massachusetts and in Nashua, New Hampshire, including a concert with Bay Colony Brass at Saint Charles Borromeo in Woburn.
How can I support the group?
MVR is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and tax-deductible donations help keep its concerts free year after year. The group has also released several albums, and Ring We All Noel is available as a digital download.
