It's for everyone who lives in Volkel. The program is built to bring young and old together, with something for kids, families, neighbours and the residents of Sint Antonius.
What goes on in the hospitality tent?
There are one or two events in the tent every day. They include bands like The Base Band, Mannen zonder stekkers and Back on Track, the Wellie and Spirit choirs, performers Jan Kersten and Typies Dries, karaoke with the Vrijbuiters, and a Liedertafel sing-along evening.
How do I take part in the curling tournament or games night?
You register on the website, and sign-ups opened on October 1. Curling is played in teams of four who compete for the cup. At games night, groups of four play Keezen, Rikken, Jokeren, Rummikub or Skip-Bo, and you can also sign up on your own.
What is the Familie Alleskunner?
It's new this year. Families join with several generations, from grandparents and parents to brothers and sisters, and take on small funny challenges. Some tasks suit grandparents best and others suit younger ages. Registration is through the website.
Can I volunteer?
Yes. Volunteers spend a few hours handing out skates, waiting tables at activities, or helping with other odd jobs.
