Parking

Parking is free in Krannert Center’s underground garages in the evenings after 5pm and all day on weekends. Overflow parking is available in University lots D1 north of Illinois Street, and D9 at the corner of Illinois Street and Lincoln Avenue. Permits are required before 5pm on weekdays in all University lots. Courtesy winter hours for Krannert Center’s garages allow free parking after 4pm beginning on the date that Daylight Saving Time ends in the fall until the return of Daylight Saving Time in the spring, as well as all day on weekends. Before 5pm on weekdays, free 30-minute parking spots are available in the lower south garage (green), and meters are available in both north garages (orange and yellow). Accessible parking spaces are available on all levels of Krannert Center’s underground garages. Spaces with meters require payment even if accessible plates or hangtags are displayed. Meters on the street are enforced 7am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and are free all day Sunday.
