NIA Jingle Bell Run
Participants take on a scenic, rolling-hill 5K course through the heart of the Nichols community, while non-runners can join an untimed 1.25-mile Health Walk. Children can participate in the Jingle Bell Jr. fun run leading to the finish line. What can I sign up for?
There are three options: the timed 5K on a rolling-hill course through Nichols, an untimed 1.25-mile Health Walk, and the free 1/3-mile Jingle Bell Jr. kids' run, called "Fire to the Finish."
How does the kids' run work?
Kids meet at the finish line and walk with volunteers to Nichols Fire, where the race starts. Ages 7 and up go first, then ages 6 and under. The run happens before the 5K, and no one checks IDs.
Can I bring a stroller or my dog?
Yes. Runners with strollers or dogs should start toward the back of the pack.
Where do I pick up my bib?
Early bib pickup is at the NIA Starkweather House, 1773 Huntington Turnpike, across from Nichols United Methodist Church. You're encouraged to pick up for other people too. Times and location can change.
What happens after the race?
There are snacks and fluids, then the awards and a post-run thank-you. Before the start, Refine Fitness leads a warm-up.
