50th itdesign Nikolauslauf Tübingen
Participants take on a certified 21.1-kilometer half-marathon course over paved roads and forest paths through the winter landscapes of the Schönbuch Nature Park. Runners are supported along the route with tea and energy drinks, finishing with hot tea and raisin buns. At the sports hall, finishers receive an official medal, access massage and changing facilities, and can visit the runners' expo and food stalls.

Tips & Advice
- Sign up early, because start places are limited and have always gone fast; only around 100 half-marathon spots were left at last count.
- Park in the Technologiepark near Horemer and follow the blue parking signs and the marshals, because there are few spaces by the school or in the nearby streets.
- Avoid the supermarket car parks near the start, because they are privately run and can charge fees, even on Sundays.
- Pin your official start number where it's easy to see on the front of your running kit, because the race rules require it there.
- Use the free ten-week training plan and the test run on the real course to get used to the forest paths and climbs before race day.

How old do you have to be to take part?
Half-marathon runners must be at least 16 (born in 2010 or earlier). The virtual 10 km and the school 10 km are open from age 12 (born in 2014 or earlier).
Can I take part without coming to Tübingen?
Yes. The virtual 10 km can be done anywhere, on your own route, alone or in a group, and walking is allowed. You upload your result online, and your shirt and start number are posted to you.
