Stamford Santa Fun Run
Participants dress in Santa suits to run, jog, or walk through Burghley Park, choosing between the one-mile Elves' Escape, two-mile Reindeer Run, or three-mile Santa Special. The traffic-free off-road course guides participants along tarmac, gravel paths, and meadow grass alongside festive music and an energetic warm-up. At the finish arch, participants receive a medal, mince pies, and mulled wine or orange squash.

- Parking: Free parking is available within Burghley; free carparks in town are also listed.

- Print your bib number, pin it to the front of your Santa suit and fill in the medical statement so the commentator can cheer you towards the finish arch.
- If you live locally, walk or cycle, and if you're heading to the Christmas Market afterwards, use one of the free town car parks near the venue.

Can children take part?
Yes. It's for all ages and abilities, from babies in buggies to teenagers. Children 5 and up get their own Santa suit. Children 4 and under go free, so don't register them. They don't get a suit or medal, but marshals usually have a few spare medals.
Do I have to run?
No. You can run, jog, plod or walk. The start is staggered by speed, so runners go first and walkers, dog walkers and pushchairs follow.
Do I keep the Santa suit?
Yes, it's yours to keep. When you're done with it, you can recycle it in local clothing collection bins, such as the ones at Stamford Morrisons and Stamford Fire Station.
Can I enter on the day?
Only if places remain. On-the-day entries are taken in the Race Village Marquee.
What do I get at the finish?
