Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a stall as a new trader?
New traders should email Independent Street or fill out the new trader registration form. They will need to provide images of their stall, product list, social media links, proof of PLI, and confirm they have read the T&Cs. Accepted traders will receive a passcode to access the online booking system.
What are the general pitch fees?
General stall pitch fees typically range from £40-£45 for a 3m x 3m space, with hot food and drink stalls costing between £40-£75. Prices can vary for one-off and Christmas events, and will be indicated on the event booking portal.
What are the gazebo requirements for traders?
Traders must provide their own folding single unit gazebo with sufficient weights (minimum 20kg per leg for a 3m x 3m gazebo). Separate pole gazebos are not suitable. Weights must be securely attached and on the ground.
Is power provided at the market?
Electricity is generally not provided, except for hot food traders at the Burnley market. Approval for portable generators is rare and requires prior authorization from Independent Street. Traders running off gas must have safety certificates available.
Can I share a stall with another trader?
Yes, two traders can share a 3m x 3m gazebo, provided both have full details of their products and valid Public Liability Insurance. Independent Street must be informed of all details, and a corner pitch cannot be guaranteed.
