OPTIMA Dreikönigslauf
Participants compete on road running courses ranging from youth runs up to five-kilometer and ten-kilometer loops through the historic old town, Kocherquartier, and city parklands. Crowds of spectators line the streets alongside live music, DJs, and drummers providing encouragement along the route. The program also includes a runners' devotional service at the Church of St. Michael and hospitality with medal engraving inside the Blendstatthalle.

- Parking: Parking is limited at P7 Im Haal and P2 Schiedgraben during the event, and some parking areas have restricted entry or exit times. Parking in the Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall parking garages is free on January 6.
Tips & Advice
- Register by December 6, 2026 to get a bib with your first name, and sign up early because entry fees go up on October 1, November 1 and December 1.
- Pick up your bib on January 4 at Intersport Schoell. Otherwise, collect it on race day at the Blendstatthalle at least 60 minutes before your start.
- Park for free in the Bausparkasse garages at Komberger Weg or Ziegeleiweg, then walk 800 m to 1 km to the Marktplatz start and finish.
- Once you finish, head to the Blendstatthalle, where you can get your finisher medal engraved and find food and drink.
- Look for the Blendstatthalle entrance at the back of the building when you go to collect your bib or register late.

Which race distances can I enter?
Kids run the 400 m AOK-JuniorCup and youths run the 1.7 km ALUCA Jugendlauf. Adults choose between the 5 km Röwisch Wohnbau Cup (one lap) and the 10 km VR Bank Hauptlauf (two 5 km laps). The course is AIMS-measured and World Athletics-certified, so 10 km times count for ranking lists and World Athletics ranking points.
Where do I pick up my race bib?
You can collect bibs and register late on January 4, 2027 at Intersport Schoell, Stuttgarter Str. 157. On race day, go to the Blendstatthalle, Blendstatt 6, no later than 60 minutes before your race. The entrance is at the back of the hall.
Where should I park on race day?
Parking is free on January 6 in the Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall garages at Komberger Weg (about 1 km walk to the Marktplatz) and Ziegeleiweg (about 800 m). P7 Im Haal and P2 Schiedgraben are restricted during the event. The Kocherwiesen lot has no entry or exit for part of the afternoon.

Where is the best spot to cheer runners on?
The finish on the Marktplatz draws big crowds. Along the Kochmeile, an announcer, DJ and music cheer the runners. SC Steinbach runs a Power Point at the Mühlweg/Neustetterstraße junction, and live music, DJs, drummers and guards line the course through the old town, Kocherquartier and city park.
