Free street parking is available on nearby Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Nancy Pelosi Drive, and Bowling Green Drive; overnight parking restrictions are enforced after 10pm. Rideshare drop-off for Lightscape is at 1199 9th Avenue. Accessible parking is available along those streets and in the Bandshell All-Accessible Lot across from the Botanical Garden.
- Accessibility: The route features paved paths with gentle slopes, ADA-accessible restrooms, and a limited number of wheelchairs available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Pets: Pets are not allowed, except service dogs as defined by the ADA.
Tips & Advice
- Buy tickets ahead of time, because most nights sell out and walk-up tickets aren't sold on sold-out nights.
- Arrive up to 30 minutes before your 15-minute entry window so you have time to park and get food and drinks from the vendors before you start the trail.
- Take Muni lines 5, 7, 43, 44 or the N-Judah, since walking, biking, transit or rideshare are strongly recommended over driving.
- Dress in layers and wear comfortable, sturdy shoes, because this is an outdoor evening walk and the ground can be uneven along the trail.
- Bring as little as possible, because the Garden has no coat check and won't hold luggage or personal items, and tripods aren't allowed.
