Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to run, and which distance should I choose?
No, you can run or walk. Choose the 5K or the 2K Family Fun Run, also called the Reindeer Dash. Both follow the trails of Gardens North County District Park. The 2K is not chip timed.
What comes with registration?
You get a long sleeve performance shirt, a finisher prize and chip timing. Chip timing includes an individual results page, a finisher certificate and a 20 second video of you crossing the finish line. The first 250 people to sign up are guaranteed a shirt and prize.
Where do I pick up my race packet?
Pick it up at Burns Road Community Center on Friday, December 4. If you can't make that, there's race-day pickup and registration at the park before the start.
Do young kids need to register for the 2K?
Children aged 2 and under don't need to register. Everyone else walking or running must register, and anyone who isn't registered won't get a shirt or ornament.
What happens after the race?
An awards ceremony honors the top three male and female finishers overall and in each age group. There's also a special prize for the best dressed in holiday spirit. Then the City's annual Tree Lighting follows, with inflatables, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a Silent DJ Party.
