Tips & Advice
- Buy an admission ticket in advance for a specific date and time, since participation requires a pre-purchased timed ticket.
- Arrive 15–20 minutes before departure; trains cannot wait, and nearby free parking spaces are limited in number.
- Use the numbered seat assigned on your ticket; standing or taking another seat is not permitted on the train.
- Strollers are allowed in limited numbers, so bring one only if it folds compactly and fits safely under a seat or at a carriage end.
- Dress for winter conditions because some program elements are outdoors, even though the performances take place in covered, heated venues.

Do I need to book ahead, or can I buy tickets there?
Participation requires a ticket for a specific date and time, and places are limited. Advance booking is recommended; tickets may also be available at Lillafüred, subject to availability.
What happens during the visit?
The experience includes a train ride through the winter forest with krampus characters, children’s performances, a platform party with story characters, a meeting with Santa and an illuminated forest.

Train tickets have numbered seats, and standing or using a different seat is not allowed. A limited number of strollers can travel if they fold small enough to fit safely under a seat or at the end of a carriage.
