Tips & Advice
- Expect traffic delays on the I-84 exit onto northbound Meridian Road, so leave extra time to get downtown before the parade starts.
- Arrive in time for the pre-parade entertainment and the free hot cocoa stands, and bring warm layers because you'll be outdoors all evening.
- Find a spot near the Main Stage at Idaho and Main, across from Generations Plaza, to see the countdown when Santa lights the City Christmas Tree.
- E. Franklin stays open until just before the parade, but Main Street closes much earlier in the afternoon, so plan your route around the closures.
- Businesses on N. Main Street between Fairview and Washington stay reachable even while the parade route and nearby streets are closed.
