- Parking: Onsite car park is free for visitors. For Sat Navs, use postcode YO15 1ED. Overflow parking is available on Sewerby Road during summer and school holidays. Additional Pay and Display parking is available at Sewerby Picnic Car Park and Limekiln Lane Car Park. Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points are available in the car park. Accessible parking bays are available next to EV charge points.
- Accessibility: The house and estate are disabled-friendly with parking bays for blue badge holders. Some steps exist, particularly on the Woodland Walk, which has a bark chipping surface. Alternate access routes are signposted. Visitors with walking difficulties may wish to bring mobility aids. The footpath from the car park to the house has a slight incline and is approximately 200 metres long. Unisex disabled toilets are available in the Orangery and courtyard. A Changing Places unit is located in the courtyard. Baby changing facilities are available in the courtyard and Orangery toilets.
- Pets: Well-behaved dogs must remain on leads at all times and owners must clean up after them. Only Assistance Dogs are allowed in the zoo, house, children's adventure playground, Stables Gift Shop, Orangery and Clock Tower Cafe. A section in the cafe permits all dogs.
