Where's the best spot to watch from?
You can watch from the sidewalks on both sides of the street along the whole route. The one exception is the sidewalk in front of the courthouse, which is closed. Spots are first-come, first-served. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome.
Where should I park?
Carpooling is strongly encouraged. The city parking garage is open for a per-car fee, and there's a full list of lots on the parade's parking page. From early afternoon, you can't park along the route or on some side streets nearby. Cars left there are towed.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed, but the crowds make them a poor fit. Any dog must be on a leash and comfortable in crowds. Not picking up after your dog can get you a ticket.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The parade goes ahead in rain, snow or shine. If extreme weather forces a cancellation, it won't be postponed or rescheduled. Notices go out through Fred Alerts, the @FredParksRec Facebook page and B101.5 radio.
Are there restrooms along the route?
Yes. Portable restrooms are set up at spots around the route. The Visitor Center and City Hall also have permanent restrooms, and the parade map shows where they are.
