Holiday of Hope Christmas Star Kids Program
Community members participate by selecting a Star tag featuring a local child's name, age, and gender from the outreach office or partner organizations. Sponsors purchase a gift to place in a gift bag with the tag attached, or donate funds for organizers to shop on their behalf. Groups and volunteers can also assemble holiday treat bags or sign up to deliver gifts directly to families.

How do I sponsor a Star Kid?
Pick up a Star at the EFO office from November 8, 2026, or at participating churches and organizations. Each Star lists a child's name, age and gender. Buy a gift, put it in a gift bag, tape the Star to the bag and drop it at the EFO office by Tuesday, December 1.

Yes. Choose the "Shop for Me" option to sponsor one or more children, and the EFO team will buy the gifts for you.
Are there gifts I should avoid?
Yes. Please don't buy clothing.
How can my group or club help?
Groups can provide goodie treat bags for each child at a program site. Each site needs 20 to 75 bags, and each bag holds a drink, cookies, candy, a candy cane and a Christmas card. Contact the EFO office to sign up.
