Tips & Advice
- Public skating is first come, first served with no reservations, so just turn up during public session hours.
- Groups of 10 or more should call at least 48 hours ahead for the group rate. It isn't offered Thanksgiving week, December 18–January 3, or December weekends.
- Wear socks that cover the ankle bone, long pants, and gloves or mittens. That's what the skating school recommends for time on the ice.
- First-time skaters can book a 15-minute introductory private lesson, usually on Saturday afternoons. Admission and skate rental are included, and reserving ahead is recommended.
- Leave snacks at home, since desserts are the only outside food allowed in the skating center.
Special Events & Promotions
- Grand Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday, November 27, Saturday, November 28 and Saturday, December 5: an ice show with Olympic skaters, Missile Toes the skating Santa and a fireworks finale at Center Court.
