Practical Information
Parking
Parking is limited at the recreation ground and visitors are advised to use the free car parking in the town centre. Once carpark is full, which typically is at least half an hour before the event starts, the carpark closes and no vehicle movement will be permitted until after the display finishes.
Accessibility
Blue badge holders can park in the Pétanque carpark on the night, which can be found on the right-hand side of the main drive as you come in to Goldsmiths (next to the mini-railway). Please note that this will be on a first come first served basis and it does fill up, so please arrive early if you would like to make use of this disabled parking area. From this point there is a hard surface path onto the running track from the top carpark entrance – next to the campsite entrance. From there, above the running track, the hard surface continues along the hedge-line where you will be able to enjoy the fireworks and access the refreshments if you would like to. Unfortunately, we don’t have any disabled access onto the grass, and it will not be suitable for wheelchair users
