The Presepe Vivente di Tricase is a unique event that reenacts the nativity in a historical and cultural context of Salento, with a permanent structure existing 365 days a year on the hill of Monte Orco. The tradition of the Nativity is set against the backdrop of popular crafts and culinary and folkloric traditions of the Capo di Leuca, with about 200 people in costume working as artisans, commoners, and peasants.
