Tanglewood Park Festival of Lights
Visitors drive through miles of dazzling displays featuring storybook scenes and holiday themes illuminated by over one million LED lights. Halfway through the route, guests can stop at the Gift Village inside the Red Barn to browse handmade gifts, specialty foods, and local crafts. Outside the shop, visitors can stop at S'moresville to roast marshmallows over open fires.

Commercial vehicles (vans, limos, minibuses): weekdays $45 cash or $48 card; weekends $50 cash or $53 card. Buses and motorcoaches: weekdays $115 cash or $118 card; weekends $120 cash or $123 card. Bulk ticket discounts: $2 off for 100–250 tickets, $3 off for 251–500, and $4 off for 501+. Tips & Advice
- Set your GPS for the main entrance off NC Highway 158 (Clemmons Road), because some GPS services send drivers to the Idols Road gate, where you'll be redirected.
- Pay at the gate in cash if you can, because cash admission costs less than card for every vehicle type, on regular nights and discount nights.
- Buy tickets ahead at the Tanglewood Park Welcome Center or the Marketing & Events Office to get the collectible ticket.
- Call the Tanglewood Stables early if you want a horse-drawn carriage ride, because they're by reservation only and paid in cash or check.
- Keep everyone inside the vehicle, because riding through the Festival in a pickup truck bed or on a towed trailer is not allowed.
Special Events & Promotions
- Discount nights on Monday and Tuesday, November 16–17 and 23–24.
- TOAST on November 8 lets walkers, strollers and wagons go through the lights on foot.
- Paws in the Park on November 9–10 lets you walk your dog through the display, by reservation.
- Running of the Lights on December 31 starts the New Year with a race through the Festival; the Miles for Meals 5K runs November 7.
- S'moresville is back this year, with marshmallow roasting in the Gift Village.

Can we roast marshmallows?
Yes. S'moresville is back, in the Gift Village just outside the Gift Shop. Roasting sticks with marshmallows and s'mores kits are sold there. You can't bring your own sticks or food for roasting.
What's at the Gift Shop?
The Gift Shop is in the Red Barn, about halfway along the route. It sells holiday crafts, specialty foods and handmade gifts by local artisans, plus the annual Festival of Lights ornament. Cash and major cards are accepted, and card payments there carry a processing fee.
Can we see the lights some way other than our own car?
Yes. Horse-drawn carriage rides take you and up to three guests through the lights, by reservation only. Tractor-pulled hayrides run every night by reservation. Both cost extra on top of admission, are paid in cash or check, and are booked through the Tanglewood Stables.
Can we bring the dog?
Yes, on Paws in the Park nights, November 9 and 10. You walk your dog through the light display, and you need to reserve a spot.
Are there ways to save on admission?
Discount nights are November 16, 17, 23 and 24. Bulk ticket discounts start at 100 tickets. Manor House guests and RV campers get in free by showing a room key or campground pass at the front gate. The campground is open until December 5.
