Carolina Holiday Light Spectacular
Visitors stroll through an illuminated trail featuring millions of lights seamlessly flowing across dozens of scenes. Nightly live entertainment along the route includes ballerinas performing inside illuminated globes, dancing elves, and holiday singers. Guests can also visit Santa in his castle, take free photos, or trigger hidden interactive surprises using snowflake wands.

- Parking: Parking is free. Park at the Wells Fargo building at 11611 N. Community House Rd; this is the show entrance and the only entrance. Some guests walk from the Ballantyne Bowl area.
- Accessibility: Pathways are concrete or decked to accommodate wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and strollers, with some gradual inclines.

- On weekends and during holiday weeks, arrive early, because the Wells Fargo lot fills up and you may be sent to overflow parking nearby.
- Buy tickets, wands and carnival rides online ahead of time, because every price goes up at the gate.
- Wear warm layers and comfortable walking shoes, because the trail is outdoors and covers real distance on chilly December nights in Charlotte.
- If meeting Santa matters, come by December 23, because he isn't there on the nights from December 26 to 30.
- Book Elf Academy early, because it's sold online only, takes just 10 children a night, and can't be bought once it's full.

Is Santa there every night?
Santa is in his castle every open night through December 23. Photos are free, so just bring your phone or camera. You don't need a reservation. The show keeps running December 26–30, but Santa isn't there on those nights.
How do the Magic Snowflake Wands work?
Touch the tip of your wand to the glowing center of the snowflake stations hidden along the trail, and something happens. If you bought a wand in advance, take your voucher down the hill to the Wand Hut to collect it. The Wand Hut also sells wands while supplies last.
Is the trail stroller and wheelchair friendly?
Yes. The paths are all concrete or decking and work for strollers, scooters and wheelchairs. There are some gradual slopes along the trail.
Where do we park and get in?
Park for free at the Wells Fargo building, which is also the only entrance. You can't get in from the Ballantyne Bowl side, so walk or drive around to Wells Fargo.
What comes with VIP?
VIP gets you a separate entrance and early entry half an hour before General Admission. You also get the HO HO Glow Lounge with firepits and private seating, and private heated washrooms. It includes bottomless hot chocolate in a souvenir mug and two carnival ride tickets.
