Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get a refund?
The normal refund policy is that tickets, once purchased, may not be exchanged or cancelled. However, they are transferable to friends or family.
How can I get information on trains & events?
All available information is on the Trains/Events web page. If details are not yet released, there is no need to contact them; the website will be updated when information is available.
Does my young child need a ticket?
Children under 3 years of age do not need a ticket if they do not occupy a seat. However, children of any age traveling on Christmas, Easter, or Halloween trains must have a valid ticket if they wish to receive a present.
What on-train facilities are available?
All trains have a dining car serving refreshments and a full bar service. Toilet facilities are available. Due to the historic nature of the carriages, only a limited number of prams/buggies can be accommodated, and they must be folded and stowed in the luggage van.

The RPSI operates trains from Dublin and Belfast and their Whitehead Railway Museum is open for public visits. Membership is encouraged but not required to travel on their trains.
