Steam Illuminations
Step aboard a heritage steam train illuminated inside and out with thousands of synchronised, colour-changing LED lights. Hosted by 'Voiceover Man', the interactive journey features music, singalongs, a Christmas quiz, and scenic highlights like Disco Ball Alley and the Snow Light Cascade. Every passenger receives a synchronised LED wristband to wear during the show and keep afterwards.

No, Father Christmas doesn't appear at Steam Illuminations. He has his own separate train at the Watercress Line.

Yes. A trolley serves festive treats, snacks and drinks during the journey when volunteers are available. You can pre-order festive picnic boxes and drinks boxes, or bring your own food.
