Diablo Symphony Family Concert “Winter Lights”
Celebrate this festive season with the Diablo Symphony Orchestra at its holiday concert on December 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church. Presenting an array of light-filled music, the orchestra is joined by rising-star Simon Hagopian—an award-winning violinist now in his senior at Juilliard—adds to the program’s uplifting spirit with performances of Beethoven’s “Romance in F” and “Winter” from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. The orchestra will perform such favorites as “Blue Danube Waltz” by Strauss, “Fantasia on Greensleeves” by Vaughan Williams and Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride.” The Blackhawk Chorus will also join the orchestra for a variety of uplifting holiday carols and songs. The joyful holiday tribute promises an afternoon of uplifting music for all. Tickets are $45 for adults, and discounts are offered for youth and senior groups of 10 or more.
