Parking is extremely limited around the Botanical Gardens; walking, public transport, or taxis are strongly encouraged. Alternative parking is available in the city centre or at the Sheffield University multistorey car park.

The Botanical Gardens offers excellent access for wheelchair users with hardstanding paths throughout and step-free access via the Thompson Rd and Brocco Bank entrances. Accessible toilets are available at The Curators House Cafe and near the Thompson Rd entrance, with additional disabled portaloos on-site. Limited blue badge parking is available near the Thompson Rd entrance, with specific parking allowances for blue badge holders.
