Over 1,000 parking spaces available in the city center. Additional parking available outside the city center ring: Hospital (new parking garage corner Mülhauser Straße / Berliner Allee), New Cemetery (parking lot Berliner Allee), AquaSol / Schmeddersweg (parking lot), Straelener Straße (Astrid-Lindgren-Schule, parking lot), Kleinbahnstraße (REWE, Medimax/Lidl), Am Bahnhof / Schorndorfer Straße (P+R parking spaces), Moorenringgasse. Additional bicycle parking spaces are located at the end of Peterstraße (near Peterturm). Parking bicycles on Oel- and Neustraße is prohibited. Sufficient parking facilities for coaches are available in the parking lot at AquaSol (Schmeddersweg). For guest drop-off and pick-up, buses can use the stops of the regular buses on the Altstadtring (Mühlen-, Hessen-, Donk- and Moorenring). Parking with Smartphone App: Parkster app allows booking and extending parking time via smartphone. E-car charging stations are available at Viehmarkt and Kempener Burg, powered by 100% green electricity from Stadtwerke Kempen. Charging costs: 45 cents/kWh plus a start-up fee of 1.19 Euros per charging process (as of 01.08.2022).
