- Parking: Parking is limited at Bury due to its town centre location, and charges apply. There is a small pay and display car park at the station, managed by Bury Metropolitan Borough Council, and several other car parks around the area. For Bury Transport Museum, park in Castlecroft Yard (not available during special events).
- Accessibility: The station has step-free access to platforms. However, the 1950s coaches are unable to accommodate wheelchair passengers. A ramp can be provided for boarding for those with limited mobility, but passengers must be able to walk to their seats. Priority seating near the door is available upon request.
- Pets: No pets allowed (service animals welcome)

Will the service be steam hauled?
Every effort is made to ensure steam locomotives haul the dining services, but a diesel locomotive may be substituted if necessary. The railway reserves the right to make substitutions without prior notice.
Are children allowed on the diner?
Evening diners are for ages 16+ (18+ on Tasters, Comedy, and Premium nights). Children aged 3-12 are welcome on daytime diners, with children under three admitted free but without a meal or seat.
Can I bring my own drinks on board?
You can bring bottled wine or champagne, but a corkage fee of £10.00 per bottle applies. The East Lancashire Railway also offers a selection of reasonably priced drinks on board.
What is the dress code?
Premium nights are black tie events. Fancy dress is encouraged for Murder Mystery and Comedy themed dining trains. For other evening dining experiences, the dress code is Smart/Smart-Casual.
