Description:
Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, is adorned with over one million lights each year, starting the day after the United States Thanksgiving holiday and remaining until January 1. The lights are turned on at 3:30 p.m. and stay on until 10 p.m., with additional morning hours from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. The event continues as a reminder of the birth of Jesus Christ, despite the absence of a formal lighting ceremony. Complimentary guided tours are available daily, and virtual tours are available in multiple languages.
