The 'U Triunfu tradition in Ciminna dates back to 1781 and takes place every year on the Sunday morning following the Immaculate Conception celebration. The procession carries the Virgin Mary statue, Marunnuzza ru triunfu, dating back to the 17th century. The festivities begin on the Saturday evening following December 8th with sausage and 'nfriulati, a traditional dish of the event.
