The vast Ignite Fire Festival in Rochdale often marks the start of the Christmas season, drawing crowds with its spectacular displays. Around Burnley and into Lancashire, the build-up to Christmas is a time for twinkling lights, bustling markets like the one in Darwen, and theatrical magic, with pantomimes offering family entertainment. Local halls and venues also host special parties and seasonal menus, celebrating the community spirit of the holidays.
